When most people go camping, a lot of the times it's in the woods or on the side of a lake or river. Either way, after the sun goes down and darkness falls, a lantern is one of the only things that can be used to see well.

These animals can see in the dark, and it gives the camper the advantage of seeing them. One type uses gas or oil and its design is created to spread the light of the flame, expanding the area covered by the light. These are some of the most popular type of lanterns because it doesn't require batteries.
Battery operated lanterns can be very bright and range in size and power. These are easier to use and store than those that use a flammable liquid. For safety reasons, many people turn to battery operated lanterns.
The battery powered lantern is growing in popularity because of the ease of use. There is not lighting a wick or flammable fuel to worry about. They are created with a power switch that is much easy to use.
A battery powered lantern is a much more cost efficient way of getting the light that you need. It is also quite a bit safer. These lanterns are becoming more and more popular.
A wide array of lanterns can be found for purchase on the World Wide Web and at local sporting goods stores. They range in price and quality, but it doesn't mean that a quality camping lantern has to have a hefty price tag. -->
