Camping Is Only Enjoyable If You Have The Right Gear

Some people might not be cut out for camping, but for those that are, there is probably nothing much they enjoy more. There are campers that like to take along a bare minimum of supplies and then there are others that take along everything that will make their camping for home like. The amount of stuff you will need to take with you might hinge on how long you are going to camp, where you are camping and how many on going with you. There are a lot of camping items that must be taken with you regardless of anything.

Real camping means you must have a tent. Staying in an RV overnight does not really count as camping to some people. You want a tent that will hold all the people that are going or have smaller individual tents that hold one or two people. Which ever way you choose to go, the tents need to be as easy to assemble as possible and be durable enough to hold up. Always make sure you have the tent stakes, tie downs, and a good hammer to drive them into the ground. A tent should also have screen windows or doors so you can get air if the weather is warm.

You might also want to take a long a battery operated tent fan to keep you cool at night or trying to sleep can be miserable. It is also nice to have a tent light. Tent lights that work using batteries are very handy to have along. While these items might seem a little extravagant for camping, some campers won't go at all without them because they make the trip more endurable while they are there.

Some campers might also not mind using a sleeping bag and lying right on the ground, but others believe that an inflatable mattress or air bed is a much better choice. Air beds roll up almost as small as a sleeping bag, but they provide a whole lot more comfort. They can be blown up in minutes and when you are ready to sleep, you be so glad you it.

Screen tents are another great accessory to take along camping because they keep the bugs away while you are eating. They will cover most standard picnic tables you might use and chairs that you take along. There is always plenty of other supplies you won't have room for in your tent like coolers, food supplies, or even swimming gear like floats. Since it seems like rain shows up on almost any camping trip, a screen tent is just a smart precaution you should always take a long with you.
