Hiking Tent
But picking a hiking tent is no easy matter. You don't just enter into a shop and pick the one which is most aesthetically pleasing to you or even the one in your favorite color. You have to take note of a number of different factors to make sure that you get the hiking tent that's perfect for your needs.
Weight
One very crucial thing to consider is the weight of the tent. When you go hiking, you will be bringing along many things in your backpack. Cooking sets, utensils, sleeping bags, and many more will have to be brought along in your backpack along with your hiking tent. Because of this, your camping tent should be lightweight and very easy to carry around. It should also be easy to pack so that you won't have any problems when you need to move on and put your camping tent back in its duffel bag.
Also, take note of the weight of the metal pole. There are ultra lightweight poles now made of strong metal alloys. If you choose them, you will save a considerable amount of energy when hiking.
Features
Next, you must consider the different features of a hiking bag. Try to check if the bag has any windows that are sufficient for letting a little draft in the evening. However, make sure that these windows can be sealed too so that if it gets a little too cool outside, you can prevent the cold from seeping in. See too if the mesh that's utilized for the window has small enough holes that the mosquitoes and other bugs won't be able to enter.
Next, check if the tent itself is tightly closed and truly waterproof on the bottom. Remember that the grass is dewy in the morning. You don't want to wake up in a wet bed, so waterproof tents are absolutely essential. It will also protect you in case it rains.
Also, you have to take note of the size of the tent. No matter how pretty the small ones look, do not be deceived. Pick ones with big head room so that you will be able to move around easily. It's best for activities such as dressing up or even just sleeping. -->
