We all love hot weather. It means we can get outside and relax in the sun. It makes you feel great when the weather outside is warm.

This may not surprise you that when the weather is too hot outside it can be deadly to the elderly and weaker people. Hot weather can make us feel faint and give us sunstroke.

So read on to learn a few great tips to help you stay cool when the weather is too hot.

It's really important that when the weather is really hot that you wear light and airy clothes. Don't wear black clothes.

Wearing a hat is a great idea when you're outside and weather is hot. If there is a lack a shade outside then you could take an umbrella.

You probably already know this but air conditioning is great to keep you cool when the weather is hot. If you do not have air conditioning then you can buy a room cooler or you could go to somewhere that does have air conditioning and like the mall.

Closing your curtains during the day is important to keeping the temperature lower inside the house. If you leave the curtains open during the day then the temp inside the house will become as warm as it is outside.

Avoiding exercising is important in really hot weather. Because exercise will make your body temperature rise it's important for you to do as little physical activity as possible.

It's extremely important to drink lots of water in hot weather. Dehydration can kill so drink at least 2 litres or more per day even if you don't feel thirsty.

Taking a cool shower is another good way to help cope with hot weather. I like to take a cold shower and then go sit in the shade for a while if I get too hot.
