Protective Sport Sunglasses For All

Sport sunglasses are not just a fashion accessory. They are an absolutely necessary accessory for eye protection. The vast majority of consumers are aware of the dangers related to sun exposure, but they do not think of the potential dangers associated with eyes. The sunrays can really damage the eyes, therefore, eyes need to be shielded.

Sport sunglasses offer maximum protection to the eyes from sunrays, but they also protect them from other injuries and damages. There are some sports with a documented standards for eye protection, such as racket sports, baseball and field hockey. In general, sports with rackets, sticks and balls are considered relatively dangerous.

Moreover, it is known that 90 per cent of eye injuries can be avoided or prevented when wearing protective eye wear. This applies even more to athletes and people who participate in sports, since there are some risky and dangerous sports.

Blunt Trauma and Impact Eye Injuries are the most common type of injury that can occur to people who are practicing any kind of sport. They occur when someone is hit with force; sometimes people who participate in contact sports, or sports that use sticks, rackets and balls are more exposed to blunt trauma injuries; therefore, using eye protection during sports is the only way to avoid such injuries.

Some sports like tennis and racquetball involve balls moving so fast that pose a serious danger for eye injury. Blunt injuries and penetrating injuries are quite common among athletes and sport amateurs who do not use protective sport sunglasses when playing their sports. Many injuries can occur from pokes and jabs, especially in games where there is a lot of contact among players.

Sunglasses are supposed to protect from UV light and impact injuries. If you wish to have optimum sport protection you should opt for sunglasses with polycarbonate lenses that will help you filter out the bright light; in this case you can also go for amber lenses and neutral gray lenses, but if you practice sports in water, you should go for polarized sport sunglasses that will help you avoid glare on water.
