The rarest Varieties of Persian cat
The Persian cat is available in a wide array of coat colors with differing characteristics as well. They have been categorized into different groups with some having more value in the opinion of cat lovers than others. Some of the exotic varieties of the Persian cat are as follows:
The white Persian cat is thought by many to stand at the top of this feline hierarchy. The regal white coat in which your hand can literally disappear, in combination with a rare set of eyes that are usually copper or blue in color make the white Persian a collectors item in the true sense of the word.
Brown Persian cats are another rare and exotic favorite of Persian cat connoisseurs the world over. The matching brown mouth and coat are beautifully offset with bright red paws and nose leather making it another collectors favorite.
Other interesting varieties of Persian cats include those that do not have a single solid color but rather a blending of colors. One example of this is the Chinchilla Persian cat that has a silver tinge on the end of its coat while the undercoat is a pure and solid white.
The special qualities of the Chinchilla are further highlighted by the dark black that surround the lips, nose and eyes of this breed. This in combination with a solid white underside and ears make the Chinchilla a truly exotic breed of Persian.
The red chinchilla Persian cat, which also goes by the name of the shell cameo is another interesting breed. It is similar in most ways to the standard silver tinged chinchilla except that this variety displays a truly remarkable red tinge above its white undercoat.
Another mandatory inclusion in the group of Exotic Persian cats is known as the tortoise shell variety. Above a solid white undercoat this breed sports a fantastic blend of red and black across its coat. The non uniformity of color makes it look a bit like the colors found on the shell of a turtle.
This division features Persian cats that have unique patterns on their coats and this is the reason why the tabby division cats are held in high esteem amongst cat lovers. Take the mackerel tabby pattern for example.
The tabby Persian cat has a very unusual pattern that is difficult to describe. It has two lines that run right down the length of its body which start at the eyes. These lines run parallel to each other and in addition to the bracelet like patterns that can be found on its limbs, the tabby Persian can truly be considered an exotic variety of Persian cat. -->
