Chicken Coop Erecting Easy Strategies
There are a few things you need to think about before actually starting your chicken coop project, among others making sure that your hen will have enough sunlight through the windows, even with a strong winter storm outside. Also they will need to have a place to rest without having any predators lurking around to take their prey. In addition, they should have an easy access to a place to feed and drink water. Finally, the right sanitation conditions should also be met.
To build the coop you will need some proper tools. Luckily most tools are already around your home, including the hammer, plywood, screwdrivers, but you might need in addition a few other things like fencing and fence staples, or tar paper. By getting the proper plans for your chicken coop you will ensure that the all the necessary materials will be listed, so you really have everything that you need to start your DIY home project. In addition you will always know how much money you will be spending on it.
The next point is thinking about the size of the coop. For example if you're only thinking of keeping up to 6 chicken, you can get away with a small coop, however if you really want to keep the chicken for various commercial purposes, including having fresh eggs every day to sell, then you need a larger coop that will allow many chicken to be in it every day. Of course this means that you can either built it yourself or at a specialized workshop and then take it home with you.
The hen home will need to be a strong, durable one as well as a safe one for the hens. You will most probably need to erect a fence around the coop, as this will be easily able to keep your chicken safe from daily or nightly predators.
