Also, overall, the training session should be enjoyable to your dog. He needs to want to come back to the dog school.

Thus, you are looking for a school where the dog trainers positively reinforce good behavior, and do not over react (i.e. hit a dog) when he displays bad behavior.

Another excellent way to find good trainers in your area is to contact various training and animal care organizations who will be able to guide you to a good obedience school.
