Easy Training with a Remote Trainer

If your cute puppy grew to become a big animal that refuses to follow your orders, barks and growls at your guests, and makes constant noise at night and prevents you from sleeping, then you should consider getting a remote trainer. A remote trainer, also know as a remote dog training collar, is an ingenious device that will allow you to train your dog with the use of a small remote control device. In this way, there's no need to be right next to the dog at all times to control it.

The dog wears the remote trainer collar in the same way as it wears a normal collar, you should remove the normal collar so there is nothing else to get in the way. The collar contains a small box with two small electrodes that must make contact with your dogs skin, through his coat. On very long-haired breeds you may need to trim the hair to achieve this.

The remote control that comes with the collar will allow you to make the collar give different levels of correction to the dog in the form of static shocks in order to call its attention during training.

How To Commence Training

Training with the remote trainer is very similar to any type of regular training. For example, if you have taught your dog to associate the action of sitting with the word "sit," you can correct it with a small static shock with the collar whenever the dog doesn't obey the command word.

Once your dog has gotten the hang of the excercise, then it's time to try the collar and the remote but without the leash. At first, the lowest level of correction has to be used, however, since some dogs can't even feel it, you might need to increase the level during the training.

Remote trainers can also be used for proximity training when you need to ensure that your dog isn?t straying too far from you, and can be a vital aid in ensuring that he reliably returns when called. It also makes walking with him a more pleasant experience as you can say goodbye to endless shouting, and look forward to a bouncing dog, tail wagging as he returns.
