How Innotek's Basic In Ground Pet Fencing System Works

For those of you that don't know, the SD-2000 is Innotek's basic in ground pet fencing system that is recommended for those dog owners that want to set boundaries to their pets. The SD-2000 set includes a strap collar made of nylon, a 6 volts alkaline battery, a collar transmitter-receiver that is resistant to water, a set if boundaries of 150 meters, and a DVD. The wire has to be buried underground or tacked it along the fence and the radio field has to be adjusted withing 1 to 3 meters of the wire. Driveways can also be used and covered in expansion joints of by making grooves and then sealing them.

Pet owners need to either bury the boundary wire under the ground or tack it along the fence and adjust the radio field within 1-3 meters of the wire. The driveways can be covered in expansion joints or by making grooves and sealing them up intact.

Initial training should be imparted using the training flags that are supplied with the purchase of the SD-2000. The DVD that comes with every purchase of Innotek's SD-2000 aids enormously in getting the pets trained to this pet containment system with ease. Being equipped with the mechanism of 'Run-through-Prevention' that offers reliable and secure containment, the SD-2000 pet containment system offers a cost effective solution and flexible installation techniques that constitute single/double loop, gate-blocker or combination installation and flower bed protection.

A warning tone admonishes the pet on approaching the boundary and static electric pulses are given if the pet tries to go out of it. This stimulation is preset in the transmitter and increases as the pet approaches the boundary.

If you want to increase the size of the Innotek's SD-2000, you can always purchase some more boundary wire, even from other sources, provided they match the specifications. These specifications include the right type of UV protected wire, and the length, width, and gauge measurements.

Functions of the SD-2000

One of the remarkable features is the expandability of the kit to cater to a boundary of around 5 acres. The boundary wire is UV protected and long lasting. Flexible boundary set up suits versatile requirements related to pet containment. The wire installation tips and RF choke/test loop instructions available online at the website is quite futile and helps a novice in getting the SD-2000 set up within minutes.
