Nylon Straps

Nylon straps have many wonderful uses. They are strong, resist stretching and abrasion, yet maintain a comfortable feel during use. Their versatility and use is practically endless.

Nylon can be dyed any color and bands can be woven into many patterns. Straps can be woven that are very narrow, or as wide as needed. They can even be made fire resistant for use by the automobile industry and the military.

Luggage, footwear, clothing, back packs, purses, watch bands, camera straps, dog collars and leashes are only a few of the items that use nylon straps. Strong straps are used as tie downs for luggage. Large trucks can be seen using heavy duty straps to hold onto their cargo.

Many nylon straps include a slide that allows the length of the strap to be adjusted. Most have buckles for quick attachment and release. With the buckles, another length of strap can easily be added on for even greater length as needed.

Nylon webbing is very useful for pet collars and leashes. With it's strength, it can be made into leashes of any size and length. Using adjustable slides and buckles, collars can be made that will adjust perfectly to fit your pet's neck.

Nylon webbing is also used in backpacks, duffel-bags and other luggage. Many cases for musical instruments also incorporate straps for easier carrying. Padding the shoulder straps increases the comfort for the wearer. Adjustable straps make it possible for backpacks to fit people of many sizes.

Photographers like to attach a strap to their camera so they can hang it around their neck. This protects the camera from accidental drops. Camera bags often have strong straps so they can be carried over the shoulder or around the waist.

You can see that nylon straps have many uses and great value. Their design depends on the purpose they are intended for. Their use is limited only by your imagination.
