Zhu Zhu Hamsters - How To Get The Most Out Of These Toy Hamsters

One of the biggest challenges facing parents today when spending the money to buy your kid the next must have toy, is just how long will it be before the toy is cast aside and they are bored with it and then onto wanting the next must have toy. Are Zhu Zhu Pets hamsters (often pronounced as Zoo Zoo Pets hamsters and Zu Zu Pets hamsters) just a crazy pre-Christmas marketing gimmick or do kids really get as much fun and entertainment out of them as the hype suggests...and just how long will that hamster keep number one position with your child?

When you hear Zhu Zhu hamster toy for the first time, often parents presume that their kids are talking about a single hamster toy. Wrong. What children are really educating their parents about is the new Zhu Zhu hamster world that now exists; the cute little hamsters are only the beginning. The bigger hamster world consists of all of the great accessories that are available for these little interactive toy pets to do there hamster things with.

There are four main hamsters themselves, Mr Squiggles, Pipsqueak, Num Nums and Chunk. All different in color and all with inbuilt unique personalities, from laid back surfer attitude to fast and furious nosey parker. Now, the normal hamster buying journey usually starts with buying your kid one of the chosen hamsters, but once they have that, the next step is onto hamster habitat expansion and the wide range of accessories that are available. Your kids have just out smarted you! You need to increase your hamster smartness, because you really aren't going to get away from adding onto your child's hamster fun, so you may as well use it in a way to benefit as well.

Don't get me wrong, we now have two of these furry creatures running around and squeaking in our house and on their own, my daughters have had great fun and entertainment with them. But, even as cute and lovable as they find their Mr Squiggles and Pipsqueak to be, there is only so much interaction and different things that they can watch and get them to do. From day one, Zhu Zhu hamsters are heading quickly down the usual boredom route.

However, the availability of the great range of Zhu Zhu hamster accessories, seem to continually extend the amount of fun and entertainment that kids get from their toy hamsters and at an exponential manner to boot. The benefit to parents, if they can stand the additional expense and to be fair many of the hamster accessories are pretty cheap, is that the simple purchase of an add-on sends your kid into toy obsession mode again without you needing to go through the cycle of a whole new toy, which probably works out more expensive anyway.

So if you want to extend your child's hamster fun and see just what these hamsters can really do, add a hamster house or car or surfboard and your kid's fun levels will again peak as well as their creativity flowing, especially as friends combine their hamster add-ons and participate in the emerging group hamster games.

So, I think that a hamster on its own probably does have a limited life expectancy when it comes to attention from kids, but with the great selection of accessories at hand, the fun just goes on and on and extends at an exponential rate.
