Let you're dog know how happy and proud your are. Positive verbal affirmations are good for dogs, as they are for humans. Remember, telling your dog how proud you are is free. All you have to do is put in the effort when using praise.
Correct Your Dog With CareDo you remember your parents correcting your or telling you what to do. It might of been because you made your bedroom dirty or because you didn't eat all of your dinner. While those might be memories, they should also be used to remind you of what not to do.
So before you go off and correct your dog's actions, think about what you're doing first. Are you acting out of frustrations? Will your correction or criticism correct things or make matters worse? So many times people use stressful actions while correcting dog behavior. Make sure that you're fair to your dog and that you treat your dog with love and care.
Treat Your Dog Like a Member of Your FamilyThink about your dog like another person. When you're shown the right attitude and care, you will benefit from the enhanced relationship. This is like a matter of respect. If you think about dog training like an obstacle, you'll be putting an obstacle in front of you.
